Gather wrapping materials and clear a large, flat surface.
Measure out how much paper you will need by rolling the wrapping paper and placing the box in the center of the paper. Bring the paper up one side and over the top of the box, all the way to the opposite edge, then cut the paper.
Center the box upside down on the paper and bring the paper from the long side of the box up to the middle of your gift. Pull both sides tightly so the paper hugs your package smoothly, and tape closed.
To close the ends, face the open end towards you and fold the right and left edges to create flaps. Fold top flap down to the box, pulling tightly, and affix with tape by first making a gentle, but firm crease.
Repeat step #4 on the other side, making sure the position of the box top is facing up.
Lastly, add creative finishing touches such as bows, ribbons and a personalized gift tag.
